Project Scheduler / Project Planning Professional – Brisbane 

Job Summary  

Core Project Advisory is seeking a passionate and driven Project Scheduler/Project planning professional for our South-East Queensland operations.  

 

Position Description 

Core Project Advisory is a progressive Project Management and Project Advisory organisation based in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba.  We are employee owned and provide share ownership options to employees so that everyone can benefit from our success. 

We are looking for a Project Scheduler, with experience in construction and engineering project delivery, more specifically civil, roads, building, energy, and/or water industry related. You will assist us provide a range of professional services across the project lifecycle, to support our Sout-East Queensland project delivery team.    

Your work will include traditional project scheduling support to client projects in addition to assisting Directors and Project Leads deliver specialised project consultancy services, such as project and procurement reviews, contract admin, risk analysis, business case development, expert witness services etc,. To be successful in this role, you will need to be driven and passionate about the work, be able to work remotely and independently, and have previous experience working as part of a project team. 

About the Role 

The role/duties will consist of but will not be limited to the following activities: 

  • Experience using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for the scheduling of complex projects and programs of work.  
  • Developing and maintaining a detailed project schedules that clearly articulate all project tasks, task owners, task dependencies, durations, key milestones, all key deliverables, resources and due dates. 
  • Tracking the status of all tasks incorporated in the project schedule and identifying actions required to address tasks that have fallen behind schedule though liaising with a team’s lead/manager including vendor partners. 
  • Assist in resource capacity planning across the project and preparing and monitoring cashflow forecasts. 
  • Produce weekly progress curves using a recognised methodology e.g. Earned Value Analysis. 
  • Providing key inputs into the weekly project status report. 
  • Contributing to project status reports as required. 
  • Participating in project team meetings. 
  • Analysing Extension of Time Claims and providing support for the preparation of Expert Reports relied upon in disputed matters.

Requirements/Qualifications 

  • Tertiary level Diploma and/or Degree or above, from an accredited Institution. 
  • Minimum 3 years project planning and/or scheduling management experience 
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) i.e., completed professional certification or relevant external development activities.  
  • Current ‘C’ class driver’s license, or above.  
  • Ability to work remotely including availability of a ‘home office’. 
  • Demonstrated report writing abilities and communication skills 
  • Site Experience (preferred but not required)
