Next Generation of Project Management – August Event

Congratulations to the Next Generation, Sunshine Coast Project Management Community of Practice, who once again held another great event during August.

Core Project Advisory Managing Director, Dave Mason, was pleased to once again MC the breakfast event, along with several of the Core PA team from both the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane enjoying the morning.

Next Generation Project Managers is now fully established as the Sunshine Coasts’ most successful PM association. This is a fantastic achievement in less than 12 months, Core PA is very proud to have been a part of this journey.

The morning kicked off with a hot breakfast prepared by the USC team, followed by plenty of robust conversations. It’s a real treat to catch up safely with others during the COVID-19 pandemic and these events provide a fantastic opportunity to network and catch up with old friends.

The guest speakers were varied and highly interesting. David Porter, Endeavour Programme, shared how using AI to create predictions and early warning forecasts can help identify and address issues before they have an adverse impact on your project.

Scott Whitaker, Transport and Main Roads, provided an update on the future infrastructure program for the Sunshine Coast, and the challenges of planning and managing the unprecedented growth being experienced on the Sunshine Coast.

Jake Briggs, Unitywater, shared how his career has progressed since graduating from USC 6 years ago and how he has gone on to work in the project management discipline.

Committee Members: Dave Mason (BR), Paul McDonald (BL) & Elisa Caruso (FL)          Guest Speakers: David Porter (FR), Scott Whitaker (BC) & Jake Briggs (FC)
