Core Project Advisory Managing Director, Dave Mason has announced that he will be stepping down as Managing Director as he transitions to retirement and pursues his many other interests. After more than 40 years of consulting and management roles in 3 countries, for 10 companies involving property administration and sales, valuations, development, asset management, project management, project advisory and managing professional service delivery; it’s time for Dave to kick back  and spend more time focusing on family, friends, travel, surfing, cycling, golf and home stuff.

Grant Axman-Friend has been appointed as Managing Director as part of Core PA’s transition plan, with Dave staying on as a Director until 30 June 2022 and will then transition to an advisory role. Andy Wyer will remain as a Director of Core PA.

He is an extremely accomplished Project Manager and Project Director, is the consummate professional and is a leader in his field.  Handing over the reins to him is a pleasure and a privilege.  I will be around for a while to assist and consult as required.” – Dave Mason

Grant has over 20 years of experience in the planning and delivery of complex infrastructure and building projects. He has held senior management roles in four management consultancy firms and held management and advisory roles for multinational companies in the energy sector. Grant is a sessional lecturer in project management, is recognised as an expert project planner and holds a Masters in Sustainability and Climate Policy.

It is difficult to summarise the many contributions Dave has made to Core PA, but a few important highlights include:

• Growing the business from 3 to 11 staff over the last three and half years.
• Running a profitable business from day one.
• Establishing the business in three locations in South East Queensland.
• Securing a diverse portfolio of projects across water, energy, waste and local government infrastructure, with a current capital value of more than $4.5B
