Getting to Know Core PA Team Members – Andrew Flint
Andrew joined the Core Project Advisory team as a Project Manager, with a well-rounded background in consulting and client-side project management, contract administration and commercial construction. Over the years Andrew has developed his skills and is proud to have achieved his Project Management Professional (PMP) accreditation.
Lucky to grow up around some of the best beaches in the NSW mid-north coast region of Forster Tuncurry (meaning ‘plenty fish’ in the native language), Andrew spent most of his youth in the water as an avid surfer. His connection to the region dates back to his ancestry among the traditional owners of the land, the Worimi people, with family ties to the legendary bushranger Captain Thunderbolt and his wife Mary Ann Bugg. Andrew moved to Brisbane in 2011 working as an event facilitator and coach with ‘yLead’, a not-for-profit program delivering in-school personal development and leadership skills courses and now enjoys married life in beautiful Queensland.
After graduating from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Construction Management, Andrew started working as an Assistant Project Manager with Coffey Projects, learning the skills of a Project Manager in a consulting environment. In any role, Andrew is most proud of his planning and problem-solving skills and enjoys breaking down challenging issues into simple to understand, step-by-step, actionable plans. He is motivated to ensure there are ‘no surprises’ and clear communication during a project, all so the team can focus on doing their best work (and hopefully enjoy doing it). Andrew is drawn to unique projects where he can satisfy his craving for lifelong learning which has seen him working in a range of industries, from education to foreign aid, environmental impact to aged care and health.
Andrew is excited to be a part of the Core Project Advisory team, inspired by their dedication to not just delivering work, but caring about who we work with and how what we do delivers real world value. Always ready to have a crack at the next challenge, Andrew looks forward to helping Core PA clients deliver work they can be proud of.
