Core Project Advisory was again very pleased to support the Next Generation, Sunshine Coast Project Management Community of Practice, with their 3rd and final breakfast event for 2021 – Innovation on the Sunshine Coast.
Managing Director, Dave Mason, kept over 80 Sunshine Coast attendees entertained throughout the morning with his quick wit and savvy MC skills.
John Knaggs, CEO SunCentral Maroochydore, opened as the morning’s first guest speaker to share the project journey of the Maroochydore City Centre Project. The city centre project is one of Queensland’s largest urban regeneration projects and is predicted to add over $4 billion to the Queensland economy.
Following on a similar theme, Matt Dagan, Coordinator Urban Projects Sunshine Coast Council, provided a great presentation on the Maroochydore Automated Waste Collection System, along with some of the challenges and learnings from this Australia first project.
The final session was a Panel Discussion on the benefits of EPMOs/PMOs, led by Leah McKenzie, Deputy Regional Director North Coast Region, Department of Transport and Main Roads. Leah was joined on the panel by:
- Angela Weber, Principal Advisor EPMO, Unitywater
- Christian Anderson, Coordinator Capital Planning and PMO, Sunshine Coast Council
- Elizabeth Cannon, Chief Financial Officer, University of the Sunshine Coast
