Jade Shirtliff is a Document Controller and Project Administrator with Core PA, originally from Fremantle, Western Australia. When Jade joined the Team, her career had seen her with more than 10 years of experience in the mining industry.

Jade has always had a passion for new challenges and thinking outside of the box. Before reaching 20, she had lived and worked on Rottnest Island, laboured and cooked for a shearing team in the wheat belt, gained her forklift licence, completed a couple of seasons of fruit picking and travelled through all mainland states of Australia in a van.

These experiences paved the way for her to move north to the Pilbara, just in time to experience the height of the mining boom. With a hunger to explore her potential as much as the Australian Outback, Jade gained employment through a labour-hire company as a machine operator and within three months, the company she was seconded to hired her full time. She was sent to Singapore for training to become a Lab Technician, learning how to build the electronic inserts for exploratory drill rig tools. When the company decided to relocate to Perth, Jade chose to stay in the Pilbara and after training the new staff, she completed her security licence, which opened new doors into the oil and gas industry.

Spending most of her 20’s working in the North West of Western Australia, and her 30’s in Queensland and the Northern Territory, Jade’s career highlights so far include managing the parts and supplies for Rio Tinto’s Pilbara Ore Rail Maintenance Division and the supply base for various West Australian offshore oil rig activities, before progressing to project work. This included various roles in the document and information management areas for some of Australia’s Largest LNG Processing Plant Construction Projects. Through this work, Jade met her partner and went on to travel extensively overseas, had her dream wedding, pursued her love for art and photography, purchased multiple homes and started a family all while moving interstate multiple times, to finally find her forever home in beautiful Brisbane, Queensland.

Having an expansive skill set, fine attention to detail and a desire for betterment and efficiency, along with exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills, Jade is adaptable and passionate about exploring and implementing ways to improve productivity and addressing deficiencies, while building great working relationships along the way.

Seeing projects delivered successfully, hearing exciting plans for current and upcoming projects, and recognising that the team has so much experience, vision, intrinsic motivation (and are just generally great people to be around) Jade feels exceptionally grateful to be a part of the Core PA team.
